The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) was recently awarded the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program Grant. The grant enables LECOM to develop a new program to provide a higher quality of care for the elderly. The program focuses on seniors who are uninsured, medically vulnerable, or isolated to improve the level of geriatric care by incorporating those techniques in training for primary care providers.
